Shared vs VPS Hosting: What a Growing Kenyan Business Actually Needs

Why Your Website Loads Slowly on Mobile Data (and How to Fix It)
August 11, 2026For most local businesses, the three listings that appear on the map at the top of Google bring in more calls than the website itself. Getting there is less about tricks and more about being consistent and complete.
1. Claim and complete your Google Business Profile
Choose the most specific primary category that fits, add your service areas, opening hours, phone number and real photos of your premises, team and work. Incomplete profiles rarely rank.
2. Keep your name, address and phone identical everywhere
Your details should read exactly the same on your website, Google, Facebook and any directories. Small differences, like “Rd” in one place and “Road” in another, make it harder for Google to trust the listing.
3. Ask for reviews, every time
Reviews are one of the strongest local signals. Send happy clients a direct link to your review form and reply to every review, good or bad, within a few days.
4. Give each service and area its own page
A single “Services” page can’t rank for everything. A dedicated page for each service, written for the people who search for it, gives Google a clear match.
5. Be patient, then measure
Local rankings usually move over weeks, not days. Track calls, direction requests and website clicks in your profile’s performance report to see what’s working.
